You have the unique opportunity to see the results of tremendous volcanic catastrophe of 1975-1976 and  lava flow of 2012-2013, to go for a walk about unusual desert and «Dead Forest», to visit lava caves and northern breakthrough hot cones, and to make incredible landscapes photos, not look like the earths!

Day 3. Anniversary Fissure Tolbachik eruption – Back to the “Dead Forest”

• Accommodation: double tents.
• Nutrition: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

In the first part of the day we go for a walk along stiff streams of lava of the Anniversary Fissure Tolbachik eruption of 2012-2013. It was accompanied by powerful fall production of lava, intensive lava flowing and ash emission. Lucky beggars had a chance to make photos only in several meters from the cooling lava flow.

Today we may notice how the relief of the Tolbachinsky dol had changed. Lava fields about 15 meters height were appeared. Descending in the caves, created by the enormous lava flowing you see all underground riches, for example stalagmites and stalactites of different forms and colors.

After returning to the camp we have dinner, share impressions and discuss plans. Overnight in double tents.

Day 4. “Dead Forest» – the crater «Zvezda» –  Kozirevsk vil.

• Accommodation: guest house,doubled accommodation.
• Nutrition: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

The next day, after the breakfast we will visit the crater «Zvezda» (star), formed in the result of the eruption in 1740. Here we see lava caves, lava flows and grottos. A little bit tired but full of impressions we are going to Kozyrevsk, take a bath and have a rest.

Day 5  Kozirevsk vil.- Milkovo vil.- Malky hot springs – Sokoch vil. – Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

• Nutrition: breakfast.

The next day we have a long road to Petropavlovsk, we make stops for several times in route. Dinner in Milkovo village, hot springs in Malka village and tasty pies in Sikoch and return to the city in the evening.

Important information

For days in the outdoors, we recommend the use of lightweight, breathable, moisture-wicking fabrics made of wool or synthetic fibers. Cotton is not recommended for days spent hiking as it does not allow for heat or moisture to enter or escape, and it will not dry easily once wet.

Going to Kamchatka do not forget that the weather here is very changeable and unpredictable. The next important moment is that there is no warm rain ever. So, we advise you to have clothes for all occasions.

We recommend using a backpack for your convenience, or a medium-sized suitcase if you prefer. A good size day-pack (20-35L) is also essential to carry your personal gear for the day. This daypack will be used to carry your personal gear for the day, your lunch and a water bottle.

Necessary and obligatory personal gear on the route:

• Camera (With extra memory cards and batteries);
• Flashlight/torch (headlamps are ideal);

• Set of warm clothes (long-sleeved shirts orsweater, pants, socks, cap, gloves);

• First-aid kit (should contain lip balm with sunscreen, sunscreen, plasters, anti-histamines, antibacterial gel/cream/wipes, antiseptic gel/cream/wipes, tablets for mild cases of diarrhea, insect repellent, sewing kit, extra prescription drugs you may be taking)

  • Amendment and cancellation must be made 30 day before the date of tour to avoid a 100% cancellation fee.
